ABOUT
Patrick Topping, the UK’s celebrated DJ, producer, and label head, has risen to become a globally renowned tastemaker in electronic music. With a career spanning over a decade, he stands as one of the UK’s most influential modern house artists, solidifying his reputation as both an innovator and mentor within the underground dance scene.
Since breaking through in 2013, Topping has toured relentlessly across the world’s biggest festivals and clubs, including Tomorrowland, Glastonbury, Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, Awakenings and Ultra, alongside headline appearances at many of the most influential venues in global club culture.
In 2022, he was named Best British DJ at DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards. His accolades also include Tech House DJ of the Year (2018), Track of the Season for “Forget” (2014), Newcomer DJ (2014) at the DJ Awards Ibiza, and DJ Mag’s Tune of the Year in 2014 for “Forget”.
His record label and event series, Trick, has now surpassed 125 releases and hosted multiple festivals in Tenerife, Newcastle, and Budapest. Trick has also held residencies, events, and hosted stages at some of the world’s most prestigious clubs and festivals, including a nine-week residency at DC10 Ibiza in 2022, as well as Creamfields, The Warehouse Project, Drumsheds, EDC Orlando, PICA Melbourne, The Concourse Project Austin and many more.
Its loyal fanbase has become one of the most passionate communities in dance music, with fans proudly sporting the brand’s lightning bolt on merchandise — and even tattoos — at events across the UK and beyond. His three-year residency at Hï Ibiza between 2022 and 2025 further cemented his position on the island. In 2026, he continues to play across Ibiza’s leading tech-house and underground events, while sharpening his focus on the unmistakable, club-driven house and techno sound that first defined his rise.
As a recording artist, Patrick has released over 100 original tracks and remixes. “Be Sharp Say Nowt” achieved UK Silver certification in 2021. Grounded in the foundations of Chicago house and Detroit techno, his catalogue balances groove-led functionality with personality and grit. He has collaborated with pioneers including Green Velvet — delivering standout records such as “Voicemail,” “When Is Now,” and 2024’s “Mad Motion” — and worked with Detroit icon Kevin Saunderson on “Frisk,” featured on the official soundtrack to The Batman. His remix work spans underground heavyweights and crossover artists including The Streets, Sam Fender, Robyn and Calvin Harris.
His journey began in 2009 with his first DJ set in a working men’s club in Newcastle, followed by years of promoting events, DJing locally, and studying music production. That groundwork led to his breakthrough in 2013 with a release on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax label and a long-standing residency with Paradise until 2019, establishing him as one of Ibiza’s defining new forces. Over the years, he has played back-to-back with leading names including Solomun, John Summit, Dom Dolla, Jamie Jones, Denis Sulta, Fisher, Wade and Skream, among many others.
Closing 2025 with his Solid Grooves debut “All The DJs,” a record that marked a renewed emphasis on raw, driving club energy, Topping entered 2026 with clear intent. His debut on Cloonee’s Hellbent Records, the double A-side “Pop That / Boom Shakalak,” reinforced that direction — delivering punchy, groove-led, peak-time records built squarely for the dancefloor. An upcoming release on Joseph Capriati’s Metamorfosi imprint continues this focused run of uncompromising club-ready material.
His ascension through the international DJ ranks has been matched by his instinct for spotting and championing emerging talent. Still driven by the same raw energy that first inspired him as a raver, Patrick Topping remains a key contributor to global club culture — whether behind the decks, in the studio, or uplifting the next generation of artists.
